Neelsville Church Rd, Germantown, MD
This 206 acre retreat on the outskirts of DC features a sloped living roof on the west cottage. Installed on a 30% slope, this green roof installation required additional slope control technology in order to reduce possible erosion. The cottage also has solar PV panels installed on the rear roof to capture the southern sun exposure and produce electricity. As tours enter the retreat, the green roof seems to capture not only the rainwater, but a lot of interest!
